Montika Collins, MA, BS, BSN, RN, CLC, IBCLC | Founder, President, Executive Director

Montika serves as an Advanced Holistic Lactation Consultant at Innovations Lactation and Breastfeeding, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), a Holistic Integrative nurse, Health and Wellness Coach, Body Worker, Medical Herbalist, and nursing faculty at Oral Roberts University.

As an activist, she served Oklahoma’s breastfeeding coalition, COBA (Coalition of Oklahoma Breastfeeding Advocates) as chair & board member. Her passion for the health and well-being of minority women and children led her to form the 501(c)3, nonprofit organization, Innovations Family Wellness INC. She serves her community as the President & Executive Director of Innovations Family Wellness INC.

Montika graduated from Maryland University of Integrative Health with a Master of Arts (MA) in Health and Wellness Coaching and a concentration in Medical Herbalism. She also earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology and Chemistry from Northeastern State University. Montika graduated Magna Cum Laude from Oral Roberts University with a Bachelor of Science (BSN) in Nursing.  She has over 300 hours in continuing education courses specific to the care of the mother/baby dyad.

In addition to teaching nursing students, she also trains healthcare professionals on how to utilize and integrate alternative healthcare practices into their medical practices. She also holds group training and seminars for various perinatal providers. Montika serves local women, breastfeeding mothers, and their infants providing them with health & wellness coaching, herbal support, bodywork, and advanced holistic lactation & breastfeeding support.

 

 

Kelsey Dildy | Development Director

Kelsey serves as the Administrative Manager for Innovations Family Wellness. She graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Sciences. Her passion is to help bring equity to the underserved families in the community. She has served in the non-profit sector for 2 years. She also has 4 years of experience in healthcare and marketing.

Kelsey had her first baby back in March 2021 and that is what led her to have a passion for helping mamas. She and her family are natives of Owasso, OK. In her free time, she loves to do anything adventurous and outdoors with her husband and kiddos or anything crafty.


 

Mariana Saldana | Social Media

Mariana serves as the Administrative Assistant for Innovations Family Wellness. She joined our team in February 2022. She is a current college student with a life goal of becoming a Pediatrician. Mariana grew up in a family of all women with 3 sisters which fuels her passion for helping women.

Mariana developed an interest in the medical field after witnessing the struggle of finding good quality care for the underprivileged community. She is currently a scholarship recipient for Innovations Family Wellness’s economic development & training program. She is working towards obtaining her CLC certification. She hopes to be a strong advocate for all women during their pregnancy and breastfeeding journey.


 

T’Kia Walterscheid, IBCLC, CLC, Doula | Client Services

T’Kia currently serves the community in the role of lactation consultant (trained in oral habilitation through Masterclass), breastfeeding counselor, and doula.

Born and raised in Oklahoma City, T’Kia is very family-oriented, a loving wife, and travel enthusiast. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science and a minor in African-American Studies. A proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., community and serving have always been core values of hers.

After undergoing many fertility treatments and seeing the lack of available resources for families during this period, T’Kia quickly became interested in ways to support people on their journey to parenthood. It was after a successful round of in-vitro fertilization (IVF) and the beautiful homebirth of her daughter in 2020, that she dove into becoming a certified doula and lactation supporter. She strongly believes that empowering families to make informed decisions on family planning, pregnancy/labor, and breastfeeding begins with education.


 

Amaya Johnson RN, BSN, CBS, Community-Based Doula, IBCLC | Holistic Wellness Coordinator

Amaya serves as a Registered Nurse, Advanced Holistic Lactation Consultant (in training), IBCLC, and Community-Based Doula. She graduated from Oral Roberts University (ORU) with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and is currently enrolled in the Doctorate of Nursing Midwifery program at Baylor University. 

Her interest in perinatal health began at ORU when she first heard about the grave disparities in maternal and infant health outcomes in the United States. With nursing experience in High-Risk Obstetrics and Labor and Delivery, her love and passion for holistic perinatal health and wellness has continued to grow. She believes in the power of women and their ability to grow, birth, and nourish their babies. She desires to be a part of empowering, person-centered, safe, non-judgemental spaces where birth is revered and the sacredness of pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum is restored. She is ecstatic to be a part of the Innovations team and looks forward to serving women and families in the Tulsa area.


 

LaTisha Nance | Reception & Property Manager

LaTisha Nance, a Tulsa native and accomplished Project Manager, brings a genuine passion for connecting talent with opportunities and cultivating inclusive workplaces. With a robust background in recruiting and human resources, she boasts a distinguished track record of excellence.

In her previous roles, LaTisha played a pivotal role in refining, directing, and executing sourcing strategies and processes, aligning them seamlessly with the organizational objectives. Her focus centered on establishing a diverse and representative talent pipeline, and she excelled in providing invaluable guidance, mentorship, and career development to candidates and employees, aiding them in surpassing their performance goals.

LaTisha's effectiveness in building and maintaining robust partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders and client groups attests to her professional prowess. Additionally, she applied her analytical skills to leverage data for process optimization.

Throughout her career, LaTisha has consistently showcased proficiency in key competencies, including organization, recruiting, project management, human resources, and, notably, property management. Her commitment to actively engaging with individuals and supporting their development underscores her dedication to creating positive and inclusive work environments.

We eagerly anticipate the positive impact LaTisha will bring to our organization, and we are thrilled to welcome her to our team. Rachelle Smith RN, BSN, CBS, IBCLC | Client Services

Rachelle is all about the beautiful chaos of motherhood and the joy of helping moms and their precious babies. As a wife and mother of four amazing children, She cherishes every moment spent with family. Additionally, when she is not with family her nights are spent nights providing hands on support to mothers and their precious newborns throughout the postpartum phase, offering guidance along their remarkable journey of motherhood. Beyond her roles as a wife, mother, and mother/baby nurse you might find Rachelle grooving to music or dancing like nobody's watching, it's her go to stress reliever.

Rachelle’s journey into nursing was sparked after having her own personal struggles with breastfeeding her first child. This was a journey that has enriched her life in countless ways. She knew from the very beginning that She had a strong desire to help mothers and babies. So in order to combine her love for motherhood and dedication to breastfeeding education She went on to earn a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Langston University. Working as a nurse and CBS is not just a profession, it's her passion. Rachelle knows firsthand how this can be challenging for both mother and baby when there is an absence of resources, knowledge, and support. Breastfeeding not only strengthens the bond between a mother and her child but also supplies vital nourishment. If able to provide that to the both of them then I have done my job 

 That's why she is committed to filling that void in our community, striving to be the person women can turn to for guidance and counsel. Rachelle feels so incredibly blessed to be a part of this amazing team, and she is ready to do the work. So, whether you're a first-time mom or on baby number four, let's navigate this amazing journey together.
